The Cabinet discussed celebrating Islamic holidays in every island.

Principal Secretary to the President on Public Policy Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim made the announcement at a press conference at the Presidential Office today.

Nazim said the council had shared the proceedings of last week’s social council meeting with the cabinet. They have discussed celebrating important Islamic occasions at the national level in all islands in the country in collaboration with councils, associations and communities, he said.

They discussed ways to celebrate the month of Ramadan, two Eids and the day of Islamization of Maldives.

Last Azha Eid, the incumbent President of the city of Malé. The city council took the initiative to light up the city with lights and colorful lights. Some of the houses have "Eid Mubarak" written on them.

Referring to this at his first rally held at the Social Center after being elected to power, Muizzu said everyone wants to make the country a society that revives Islamic unity. He said he felt it from the joy of the people, the emotions they were expressing, the selfies they were taking and the conversations they had with various people.

Muizzu said he would do it in all the cities and towns of Maldives for the next Eid and he would do it in other islands as far as he had the courage.
