A man has been arrested for trying to smuggle more than two kilograms of drugs into Addu City.
Police said a 33-year-old man was arrested at the airport on a domestic flight that landed at Gan International Airport at around 1:55 pm on Monday.
Police said a large rubber packet containing suspected drugs was recovered from him during the operation conducted by the Narcotics Intelligence and Gan Police Station.
He was produced before the Fedu Magistrate's Court and remanded in custody for 15 days.
The case is being investigated by the Addu City Police.
