The government has designated land for Al Madharusathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya and decided to develop the new building, as part of the "Hafuthaa 14" roadmap. The President's Office made the announcement this evening in a press statement.
The allocated land, situated at Plot 381 in Malé City, was formerly a waste collection center. Construction is set to commence in accordance with the "Hafuthaa 14" roadmap.
The "Hafuthaa 14" roadmap is President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's pledges for the first 100 days of his government.
As part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s presidential pledges, allocating a specific area for the construction of a new, modernized building for Al Madharusathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya and facilitating the more effective delivery of an Arabic-medium curriculum were key commitments.
He had also previously assured the designation of land and the initiation of building development upon assuming office.
