Police officers have entered the Office of Road Development Corporation RDC to execute a court order to search the building.

This has been confirmed by an independent source and the Police also said that they are searching the RDC office as part of an investigation they are carrying out.

Some media reports say that a team from the Anti-Corruption Commission ACC accompanied the police in their search of the RDC Office.

It is not clear what case the police were referring to but the Police are currently investigating allegations of criminal breach of trust against RDC Managing Director Moosa Ali Manik and Chief Financial Officer CFO Yasir Hassan.

They have been accused of siphoning off MVR 13.8 million from company accounts to their own accounts. Some sources have said that the duo transferred the MVR 13.8 million from RDC's main bank account at BML to Yasir's account.

But RDC denied such transactions have happened citing company financial reports and the MD too has denied such allegations.
