Police are looking for the individuals who assisted the victim of a hit-and-run accident that happened on the 28th of June in which MNU lecturer Ali Hafiz sustained life-threatening injuries.
Police said that they were looking for the individuals who helped the victim of a road accident that happened in the early hours of 28th June when a motorcycle hit a pedestrian on a crosswalk.
They requested the individuals themselves or those who have their information to contact the Galolhu Police Station via its number 9631696.
The victim of the accident sustained serious injuries and had now been sent abroad for more treatment.
Police arrested 22-year-old Shamman Abduh Shukoor earlier this month under a court-issued arrest warrant.
While he has been remanded in custody for 15 more days, at the remand hearing the suspect's defense argued that the collision occurred not when the victim was standing on the crosswalk, but when the victim ran towards their client as the victim was crossing the road and saw the vehicle suddenly. The defense said that the victim ran towards the motorcycle in panic.
They further said that the charges made do not reflect the nature of the incident and that the charges were not major criminal charges.
Meanwhile, the Investigation Officer noted that the suspect agreed that he did not possess a driver's license and that he had been speeding when the accident happened. The Officer said that although the suspect has asked to be released on bail, the Police requested that the suspect be kept under its custody.
