The Maldives National Party (MNP) Presidential Candidate Colonel Retired Mohamed Nazim says under an MNP government it would build an airport and a tertiary hospital will be built in Haa Alifu Dhidhoo.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Dhihdhoo, Nazim said the government has done nothing for Dhihdhoo and has neglected it.

Nazim stated that no project has been implemented on the island and the people of Dhihdhoo have not received any happiness during the five years of the government.

Nazim added that the health services in Dhihdhoo are also at a very poor level. It is not enough to have a big building in the village, he said. Thus, there should be doctors specializing in women and pediatricians.

Nazim said a tertiary hospital would be built in Dhihdhoo and sufficient staff will be trained and all services will be available under the MNP government. In addition, an airport will be built in Dhihdhoo.

The MNP announced on December 1 that it would hold a primary to nominate a candidate to represent the party in the presidential election. Nazim was the only candidate to contest the primary in the opportunity open until the 14th of that month.

He was handed the presidential ticket on the 26th of last month.
