State Minister at the Planning Ministry Akram Kamaaludeen says the government will publish the list of individuals who receive land plots from Male' later this month and that the work to compile the list is progressing rapidly.
The government had said before that the list would be published last month.
Speaking with The Press about the project, the State Minister said that ministry officials were now processing the application forms and that this includes evaluating the forms too.
Akram, who had said before that the list would be published in May, stated that the Ministry first targeted to publish the list in May.
But he said that since President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the list would be published in June, the Ministry is working in line with the President's decision.
The land plots as well as the flats allocated for Male' residents were opened for application last July and since then the Ministry has received 20,697 application forms for flats and 15,164 application forms for land plots.
