A Maldivian student has been seriously injured in a road accident that happened in Phillippines.
Sources have identified the victim as 21-year-old Luhaim Mohamed Ismail of Fuvahmulah city who was injured in the accident and reports say that he is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
Sources have also said that the accident happened when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into another motorcycle and Luhaim collided with a street pole after the crash.
It was reported that his two legs were broken in the accident and that he is yet to regain consciousness.
His family had reportedly flown to the Phillippines after his accident.
Luhaim is a student pilot at the Airworks Aviation Academy in the Phillippines and has finished the majority of his course.
