Addu Equatorial Hospital says it has been unable to transfer the victim of an accident between an ambulance and a motorcycle in Addu yesterday due to the lack of a flight.
Speaking to 'The Press', a media official from the hospital said that the victim of the accident is currently being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
The official said that while the victim does not show any external injuries, the scans show that the victim has bled into his brain.
The hospital said that with this diagnosis, they were working to transfer the victim to Male' for further treatment as soon as possible and that National Airline Maldivian has not informed the hospital of a flight for the transfer.
The accident between an ambulance and a motorcycle on Hithadhoo Bodu Magu injured an 18-year-old man. Videos of the collision show that both vehicles have been damaged in the accident.
