Transport Minister Aishath Nahula says the Ministry would revoke the registrations of the vehicles registered illegally in the first place.
In a rare tweet, the Minister said that the Ministry is finding a number of illegally registered vehicles during an effort to streamline the Ministry's work as well as during an audit of the Ministry.
Minister Nahula said that the registration documents of such vehicles would be revoked.
She further advised all to act within the laws of regulations for vehicle registration.
The Minister noted that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration had a 'zero tolerance to corruption policy and assured that she would take action to stop corruption regardless of whoever is involved.
Minister Nahula further assured that she would do whatever it takes to make the system better.
