Housing Development Corporation HDC says the corporation would not send any messages to the public and cautioned the public to be mindful of such scams.
HDC said that it had come to its attention that scammers are sending a number of text messages in its name.
The Corporation noted that the messages ask receivers to click on links that would take them to the 'Hiya Safety Portal' but it had not been sending such text messages for this purpose.
HDC also said it was not using a portal named 'Hiya Safety Portal' to communicate with the residents of the Hiya Flat.
The Corporation also urged members of the public to be aware of such scams and not to press the link sent in such a manner.
HDC also asked the public to call 3353535 and inform if an individual receives such a message in the name of the Corporation.
