The Death Commission has summoned Ismail Abdul Raheem (Isu) in relation to the forced disappearance and murder of journalist Ahmed Rilwan.

Police apprehended Ismail last month with an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court as they accused him of being related to the abduction of Rilwan back in 2014.

Yesterday, the Death Commissioned summoned the suspect and questioned him on Rilwan's disappearance and subsequent murder. But the Commission has not revealed the nature of its inquiry yet.

It was commissioned to investigate the disappearance of Rilwan as well as the brutal murders of blogger Yameen Rasheed and former MP Afrasheem.

Along with Ismail, the Police arrested two others back in June including 30-year-old Ahmed Ismail and 40-year-old Ahmed Muaz.

Police had said that all three had been arrested in connection to the disappearance of Ahmed Rilwan and the brutal murder of blogger Yamin Rasheed.
