The anti-India slogan, IndiaOut has been sprayed on the walls of the family home of the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed.
Nasheed's brother had shared a photo of the vandalism on Twitter with 'IndiaOut' sprayed in green paint on the walls of Kenereege.
Kenereege had been under MNDF surveillance after the May 6th attack against Nasheed outside the house. Right after the attack, the street was declared a no-parking zone after the attack targeting Nasheed was through an IED strapped to a parked motorcycle on the street.
The vandalism targeting Nasheed's family home came after the slogan was spray-painted on the door of Defence Minister Maria Ahmed's house in Male'.
Earlier, papers printed with the text 'India Out' were recently dumped outside the President's Office, Indian High Commission in Male, as well as outside the residence of Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid.
The anti-India campaign is currently led by the opposition and they had been expanding the campaign to the islands by holding rallies at different locations in the last couple of months.
The Opposition had also begun hanging massive banners with bold 'India Out' statements which promoted President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to issue a presidential decree declaring that the anti-India campaign has become a national threat and had since banned any activities under the slogan.
