Male' City Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says authorities are working on a mechanism that would allow users to view available car parking spots in real-time and book the slots accordingly.
In a ceremony held to mark the 4-month anniversary of the currently Male' city council, Mayor Dr, Muizzu said that the unavailability of parking space in the capital Male' remains a big problem and that the city council has set up a parking space at the carnival area in Male'.
He said that this area can accommodate more than 700 motorcycles and 100 cars.
The Mayor said authorities were working to set up an application through which drivers can view the available parking slots. He said priority would be given to taxi drivers.
Dr. Muizzu also said that the council was working to build multi-use parking buildings under the Land Use Plan.
