Police say two motorcycles collided on the Sinamale' Bridge last night and that two people were injured in the accident.

Police said that they received reports of the accident on the bridge around 12:45 last night.

They said that the accident had occurred at the traffic light near hulhule and both motorists were injured in the accident. Police said that one of the victims was taken to Treetop hospital in Hulhumale while the other was taken to Hulhumale' hospital.

Police also said that one of the motorists involved in the accident was a 31-year-old individual and that the person did not have a valid license to drive a motorcycle.

Police meanwhile said that the other party in question is a 24-year-old and that the person had a valid license to drive a motorcycle.

Shedding light on how the accident had occurred, Police said that the two vehicles had collided after one of the motorists had run a red light and crashed onto the other vehicle.

Police said both the vehicles have now been towed and that Police were conducting further investigations.
