A dead body of a foreigner has been found in the Male’ lagoon today.
Police said that the body was discovered around 10:00 am this morning in the lagoon near the police tow yard.
It said that the body had been taken to IGMH for further investigations.
Police had later identified that the dead body belonged to a 58-year-old British man.
Police had not released any other information regarding the body.
This comes after the body of local youth was discovered dead at sea near IGMH.
The 32-year-old was found dead with many wounds to his bodies and police had suspected foul play after an inconclusive initial examination.
Police had taken his body to India for an autopsy and later revealed the official cause of death as drowning.
