Police have requested the assistance of the public in relation to its investigation of the dead body found at sea near IGMH yesterday morning.
In a statement, Police asked those who have been near the Rasfannu Beach area between 9:00 am and 12:00 am on Friday and any individual who has information about the dead body to come forward and aid them in their investigation.
Police urged those who wish to come forward to contact their Serious and Organized Crime Department via its emergency number 911 or 9911099.
This comes after police discovered the body of a 31-year-old Maldivian man yesterday morning and had declared that it would perform an autopsy on the body since it cannot be confirmed that the man died of natural causes.
Local media reports had said that the body had sustained serious injuries but Police had not confirmed these reports.
