Finance Ministry says government institutions must report assets they receive as aid to the Ministry.
In a circular, the Ministry said today that Public Accounts regulation stipulates that assets acquired through the state capital budget and those received through aid, other assets, and work paid for by the capital budget must be included in the State Asset registry.
Finance Ministry stated the state institutions were failing to disclose information on the assets they have acquired through aid.
The Ministry said in its work to compile the State Asset Registry, the Ministry had requested via email that government institutions disclose the assets they have received as aid between January to July of this year.
It said only a handful of offices have disclosed this information and that it requires in the information by 14:00 pm on the 10th of this month.
