Health Protection Agency HPA reports that 73 individuals have recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic here in the Maldives on Wednesday.
In its latest update, HPA said the total number of recoveries has now reached 5338.
HPA said however that the active cases of COVID-19 have now increased from 2703 to 2767 in the last 24 hours. It added that the number of hospitalized individuals has also increased from 162 to 166 in the last 24 hours.
HPA reported that 1365 individuals remained under isolation at various facilities across the country.
A total of 8140 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives since it reported its first case back in March.
The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed 29 lives in the Maldives since April including 23 locals and 6 foreigners.
