Bank of Maldives on Saturday, 29 August 2020, made official announcement of closing down its ATM center located at Henveiru Marine Dream.
The bank's decision to close down its ATM Center providing service of US Dollar withdrawal and depository comes following the fire at the building's neighboring establishment on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, authorities have not been able to confirm the reason behind the fire while Friday evening's incident marks the third biggest fire in recent months while two major disasters struck out in 2019; one involving a residential area.
