Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Monday, 10 August, confirms commencing the dredging works of Addu City Hulhudhoo harbor development project.

The contractor further adds the project's mobilization took place on 28 July 2020 while noting the project includes dredging and excavation operations spanning an area of 88,623 cubic meters.

Moreover, the project entails installation of a 114 meter breakwater along with a 624 meter revetment. Additional components of the project include installation of a 742 meter long quay wall and a 9 by 4 meters bridge.

MTCC also confirms installation of pavement in an area of 2,250 square meters along with installation of navigation aids, streetlights and a ramp.

The contractor claims the project's estimate value is a total of MVR61.4 million.
