Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Sunday, 9 August 2020, confirmed progress of Haa Dhaal atoll Nellaidhoo harbor development project.
According to the contractor, the project observes an overall progress of 30 percent with harbor dredging works currently underway with 45% completion.
Moreover the project entails harbor basin dredging operations of 22,860 cubic meters and another maintenance dredging operations of additional 10,294 cubic meters.
The project will further invovle breakwater construction of 164 meters, groynes construction in another 125 meters as well as construction of a 224 meter long quay wall.
Furthermore the project includes installation of a 2,102 square meter paved area along with installation of nagivation and street lights. Additionally a ramp will be constructed at the harbor for easier unload from vessels.
Meanwhile the project's estimate is a total of MVR47,623,290.48 while it was awarded on 27 August 2020.
