The Avani Hotels and Resorts' property developed at Baa atoll Fares will expect an official opening sometime in the upcoming year 2021.
Developed in a slip in the Biosphere Reserve, the tourist property is under the management of Thailand's Avani Hotels and Resorts which is a part of hotelier group Minor Hotels.
Minor Hotels' sister act, Avani has over 20 properties spanning across 15 countries while most of their properties are situated in Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
Dubbed the 'Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort' will hold 200 villas, all following the hotelier's iconic style and aesthetic in build and decor.
Though this will be the first property in Maldives under Avani, Minor Hotels manage several properties in Maldives. Most notably under their prominent Anantara brand.
Minor Hotels manage, Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, Anantara Veli Maldives Resort and Anantara Kihavah Maldives under their more popular brand.
In addition to this Minor Hotels also runs the Naladhoo Private Island at Male' atoll and Niyama Private Island at Dhaal atoll.
