Maldives reports a total of 67 Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, with the batch including 43 locals as confirmed by health authorities.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Monday confirms the positive cases included, apart from the 43 Maldivians, 14 Bangladeshis, 6 Indians, 3 Indonesians and 2 Americans.
Meanwhile the total number of positive cases reported from Maldives have surged to 3,369 which includes both recoveries and active cases.
The total number of recoveries discovered on Monday, 27 July, were only 13 as the latest trend shows more cases of infections than recoveries.
Moreover, a total of 602 individuals are in various isolation facilities while 792 individuals remain as active cases getting treatment.
So far the island nation reports only 15 deaths related to Covid-19, which is still a statistically low mortality rate compared to most other countries in the region.
