Ministry of Health reports of 3 mosques in Maldives capital, Male' City were getting disinfected following a Covid-19 positive case.
This has been confirmed by the ministry's Deputy Director General Thalseema Usman on Monday evening.
Sources claim one of these mosques include one situated close to the building where Maldives Parliament is situated.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirm the mosques were temporarily closed down for disinfection and will reopen following the procedure.
Earlier Maldives government have lifted the ban on communal prayers which lasted throughout the total lockdown phase.
