A boat sinks with five onboard after it left port from Raa Atoll Aarah earlier this evening.
Reports have now confirmed that all aboard the boat had been rescued.
The vessel had traveled to Aarah with supplies and had loaded waste from the island on its return trip.
Alia Investment is developing Aarah as a resort.
Maldives National Defense Force MNDF said that it received the report of the incident around 9:30 pm this evening.
The vessel is believed to have sunk due to high waves caused by bad weather.
Earlier today, 9 people were rescued while stranded on the sea after their fishing vessel sank off the coast of Kaafu Atoll Huraa, also due to rough seas and tough conditions.
The Met Office issued a white alert for Atolls from Haa Alifu to Laamu tonight. The alert said that strong winds of 22-27 mph and gusts of 45 mph with rough sea conditions are expected from 21:45 pm to 02:30 am.
It also issued a white alert to Gaafu Alifu Atoll to Addu City for the same conditions.
With more sea accidents reported in the last couple of days, Authorities have urged all travelers to take all precautionary action and to be wary of tough conditions.
