Health Protection Agency HPA says there are currently 15 children under treatment for COVID-19 in the Maldives.

The HPA Dashboard on the global pandemic shows that a total of 153 children below the age of 18 have contracted COVID-19 in the country. It shows that 138 children have recovered and only 15 remained under treatment for the highly contagious illness.

This includes 9 children below the age of 10 and 6 children above 10 years.

The 15 children currently under treatment for the illness include 10 girls and 5 boys.

The dashboard also shows that the 138 children who have recovered include 64 girls and 74 boys.
