Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Tuesday has confirmed discovery of 21 additional cases testing positive for Covid-19 virus.
The authority further confirmed that a new batch of 16 recoveries were discovered on the same day as well.
As per the latest development the total number of positive cases discovered in Maldives has increased to 2,238 while Tuesday's positive batch included 12 locals, 7 Bangladeshis along with 1 Indian and 1 Nepalese.
Moreover, the new recoveries have surged the total number of recovery cases to 1,829.
So far Maldives reports only 8 deaths related to the virus, making the island nation list among the countries with the lowest amount of mortalities due to Covid-19.
