Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Wednesday confirmed another 111 recoveries confirmed from Maldives.
According to the agency, during the last 24-hours the total recoveries had surged to the aforementioned figure, while total recoveries have now reached 1121.
Meanwhile, the intensity of new Covid-19 cases reported in Maldives have been decreasing while Tuesday was the first time the country reported recoveries exceeding active cases.
Health authorities further confirmed the total number of new Covid-19 cases reported on Wednesday were at 20.
With this the total number of cases reported in the country reached 1962 - excluding the recoveries.
Locals contracting the disease stood at 681 while Bangladeshis who contracted the disease stood at 1038 as per the latest updates.
Meanwhile, Indians have a total of 190 positive cases reported in the country and 24 Nepalese.
So far the island nation has reported only 8 deaths related to the viral contagion, making the country among the lowest in mortality rate associated with Covid-19.
Total in quarantine have receded to 398 while total in isolation dropped to 932.
