Health Protection Agency HPA confirms that 44 more individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives.
In a tweet, HPA said that 13 Maldivians, 29 Bangladeshis, and 2 Indians have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country.
With this, a total of 1591 have now tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives.
This includes 239 females and 1352 males.
Health Ministry’s dashboard on Covid-19 shows that 554 locals have tested positive for Covid-19. While 835 Bangladeshis have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives, 152 Indians have also tested positive for the virus in the country.
The dashboard also showed that 7 elderly patients above 81 years have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country with the oldest being a 92-year-old local man.
The dashboard states that 51 below the age of 10 have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives including an 11-day old newborn baby.
Meanwhile, authorities have confirmed that 242 people have recovered from Covid-19 in the Maldives.
The country has so far recorded 5 Covid-19 related deaths including three locals above 80 years of age and two Bangladeshi nationals working in the country.
