Tuesday, 28 April - Two more persons have been confirmed positive for the COVID-19 virus hiking the total cases to 228 in Maldives.

The latest updates were reflected from the real-time dashboard from Ministry of Health. However, further details of the newest positive cases have not yet been disclosed.

The COVID-19 Task Force is expected to disclose more details during the press conference scheduled daily for updates related to viral spread.

According to details of the dashboard, the latest positive cases; MAV0227 and MAV0228 have been identified as a local and a Bangladeshi national, respectively. The Maldivian is aged 33, according to the ministry's dashboard.

The nationality ratio shows Bangladeshis affected in the highest number with a total of 106 infected cases. Maldivians have 90 confirmed cases.

Additional details from the ministry's dashboard revealed the infect total have only 45 females (19.7 percent) and the remaining 183 are males (80.3 percent).

It is now 53 days since the first reported cases in Maldives and a total of 1,210 individuals are in quarantine facilities.
