The President's Office Under Secretary and the official spokesperson on COVID-19 development in Maldives, Mr Mabrouk Abdul Azeez confirms a total of 933 cases tested negative for the virus.
In addition to this, Mr Azeez confirmed test results for 139 cases still remain in pending.
During a press conference held on Monday, Mr Azeez confirmed a total of 1089 samples were collected for testing.
Moreover, Mr Azeez reported 17 individuals were currently in Velidhoo Isolation Facility and 3 in Dharmavantha Hospital's isolated treatment department.
Mr Azeez further commented that a total of 867 individuals remain in various quarantine facilities across Maldives.
The list of venues and properties currently under Health Protection Agency's monitoring include;
- VSG Glory (Cargo Vessel)
- Ark Nobel (Safari vessel)
- Island Safari
- SY Star's End
Meanwhile, all resort properties that were previously under monitoring status have been provided with normal statuses.
Maldives has reported a total of 17 positive cases of the virus, rapidly spreading across the globe right now.
So far, health authorities report 13 individuals from the positive cases have recovered while 2 remain in treatment. Another 2 who contracted the disease, were tested positive upon reaching their home country; Italy.
