A Maldivian local who landed in the island nation on Sunday, flying in from Spain was sequestered off to the isolation treatment center at Farukolhufushi.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) of Maldives confirms the local was isolated after the individual showed suspected symptoms for the viral pandemic - COVID-19.
Moreover, the agency confirms they were conducting screening and tests to confirm for the possibility of the presence of the virus.
