Ministry of Finance on their Weekly Fiscal Development publication revealed the cumulative total of tax revenues has hit MVR2.2 billion as of 13 February 2020.

The Ministry reported the non-tax revenue's cumulative total has reache MVR381.0 million as of the review eek.

The latest figures confirm the tax revenue stream, Business and Property Tax remain the strongest income component with a cumulative collection of MVR968.4 million.

Under Business and Property Tax component, Business Profit Tax (BPT) has reached a cumulative collection of MVR867.5 million while the Withholding Tax collection has hit MVR100.2 million.

Collections from Goods and Services Tax (GST) the second strongest revenue component, has reached MVR900.3 million.

Under the GST component, Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) has reached a collection of MVR575.1 million and General Goods and Services Tax (GGST) has hit a cumulative total of MVR325.2 million.

Meanwhile, Import Duty collections were observed at MVR110.5 million and Green Tax has made a cumulative total of MVR96.8 million.

As for non-tax revenue, fees and charges levied by the state remains the main component with a cumulative total of MVR226.7 million.
