President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says that showing true love to children means teaching them about religion and the world.
He said this in a post on the occasion of 'Children's Day' being celebrated today around the country.
The President said that as children grow older, it is a national responsibility of the government and the people to provide age-appropriate education and upbringing.
He said that loving children meant giving them the ability to live as responsible people tomorrow. The President also said that no word or action should be allowed to foil the innocence of a child.
Meanwhile, First Lady Saajidhaa Mohamed said that there is no despair about the future of a country that is raising well-behaved children.
She also said that as long as children are cared for and protected with compassion, hope for the future will become a reality.
