The Elections Commission has announced that the second round of voting in the recently held Local Council Women's Development Council Elections is scheduled for next Saturday.

The second round of voting would only be held in the constituencies where the results were tied or uncertain in the initial election held on the 4th of this month.

The President of the Commission, Mohamed Zahir, said today that the Commission has begun preparing for the second round of voting to be held on the 18th of this month.

Speaking about the Local Council Election, he said that the election was the highest turnout ever in a local council election. The President of the Commission also said that the entire election process was conducted in a very free and fair environment.

Zahir said the Complaints Bureau received 170 complaints regarding the election and that the Commission was taking action according to legal standards.

He also said that any individual dissatisfied with the Commission's decision has the right to file a legal case at the High Court within 14 days starting today.
