Bank of Maldives (BML) has funded a Sensory classroom named “IWonder” at Aminiya School as part of its ongoing efforts to support various sectors of the community. More than 170 students study at the SEN classes at Aminiya School.
BML said that the classroom was developed as a suitable environment for students to learn.
Under this project, the Bank provided the required equipment and maintenance support to develop the classroom, including essential improvements to enhance the overall learning environment, along with the installation of specialised features and resources designed to support students’ essential developmental needs.
The Bank of Maldives has previously assisted in developing SEN classrooms and procuring necessary equipment for various schools.
The Bank has previously supported projects to develop SEN classes at Imaduddin School, Hiriya School, Salahuddin School, Veymandoo School, and Gaafaru School. Furthermore, over the past few years, the Bank has donated necessary equipment to SEN classes in 40 schools across the Maldives.
Supporting students with special needs remains a key priority for Bank of Maldives, with continued investment in the resources required to enhance inclusive education.
