The President's Office says in line with the Directive issued by the President's Office on 4 February 2024, Government offices will be closed for the final ten days of Ramadan, beginning Monday, 9 March.

It said that the Directive designates the final ten days of each Ramadan, starting from 1445 AH, as official Government holidays.

It also said that the decision aims to uphold Islamic principles, promote appreciation for Islamic values, and prioritise acts of worship.

The Directive also instructs Government authorities to ensure the continued provision of essential services and to communicate operating hours to the public during this period.

Meanwhile, public schools would be closed down for the rest of Ramadan and the first 7 days of Shawwal starting today. Schools would reopen on the 22nd of March.
