Bank of Maldives has introduced a simpler process for Maldivians travelling abroad for medical purposes to book medical dollars through its Mobile Banking App.

The Bank said that customers can now apply for medical dollars directly via the Mobile Banking App, submit the required documents, and track the status of their applications seamlessly.

It also said that patients receiving medical treatment abroad through Aasandha and NSPA will be eligible to obtain up to USD 2,000. It further said that travelers self-financing their medical treatments are eligible for up to USD 1,000.

BML said medical dollars will now only be credited to USD accounts. Customers can easily open a USD account through the mobile app.
