The National Disaster Management Authority has provided temporary shelter to the family affected by the fire in an apartment in the One Avenue apartment complex in Hulhumale'.
A fire broke out in an apartment on the 7th floor of the One Avenue Apartment Complex around 11:00 last night. Authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the fire. However, the fire destroyed the apartment's kitchen area completely.
The National Disaster Management Authority said today that since the apartment's kitchen was burnt down beyond use, the Authority had provided temporary shelter to the family living in the apartment.
NDMA said that these include 5 individuals. It also stated that the authority would make mealtime arrangements for the family and that it was currently assessing the damage to the property.
This was the second fire in Hulhumale' this month.
Earlier this month, a warehouse in Phase 1 of Hulhumale burned down, and the NDMA provided temporary shelter to 25 people following the fire.
