The newly constructed segment of the Boduthakurufaanu Magu has opened for public use earlier today.

Transport Minister Mohamed Ameen stated yesterday that the segment from Chaandhanee Magu to Faalandhoshu Magu has been designated a two-way road and will be opened to the public today.

The busy portion of the road, encompassing Male' was reconstructed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company, MTCC.

Yesterday, MTCC held a tree-planting ceremony at the project site to commemorate the successful completion of Phase 2 of the Boduthakurufaanu Magu Northside Road Development Project.

MTCC said that the event symbolized sustainable progress and the company's continued commitment to building resilient communities.

It also said that the project marks another important milestone in enhancing Malé’s urban connectivity and infrastructure.
