President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with Maldivians residing in Germany, in a gathering held during his official visit to Germany.
Addressing the attendees, the President emphasised the importance he places on meeting Maldivians residing in every country he visits on official travel and conveyed his best wishes to them.
The attendees were allowed to speak with the President privately, where they were able to raise any issues of concern.
Earlier, the President held official talks with his German counterpart, Walter Steinmeier.
Discussions focused on diversifying mutually beneficial cooperation on bilateral and multilateral fronts through increased high-level dialogue and formal agreements.
The President's visit marks the first official visit by a Maldivian President at the invitation of the President of Germany, and coincides with the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
