An elderly man has fallen from the 5th floor of the Male' Hiya flats.
Police said that they received the report of a man falling from the Male' Hiya flats around 6:50 in the morning.
They stated that the victim has been identified as a 60-year-old local man and that the man had fallen from the 5th floor of the building.
Police added that the man was rushed to the state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital IGMH for treatment.
Videos are circulated on social media showing paramedics carrying the man on a stretcher out of Male' Hiya building. The videos show that the man had sustained injuries to his head.
Police did not state how the elderly man had fallen from the 5th floor but added that they were further investigating the case.
