Police have identified the missing expatriate worker who was found dead in Thilafushi yesterday.
They said that the body belonged to a 24-year-old Bangladeshi national named Ameen Mia. Police also said that Ameen had died in an incident that happened last Monday.
Police added that they were further investigating the case and that they would provide more information as the investigation moved forward.
Yesterday, the police reported that they had launched an operation to find the missing foreigner after his disappearance on Monday.
Police then reported that the foreigner had been found dead in Thilafushi.
