Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, says the Ministry will begin distributing the tuna cases to households next Saturday as this year's Ramadan gift.
The Minister said in a social media post that the Ministry would distribute Tuna Cases from 15 locations across the Greater Male' area and that residents can access the portal to obtain a token number without having to stand in a queue.
Shareef added that 118,673 cases of tuna have already been prepared for all households in the Maldives and that no household would be excluded from the distribution.
Along with the Ramadan gift of Tuna cases, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu promised that electricity bills for households would not exceed MVR 400 this Ramadan.
The President said that each household billing at the domestic rate will be charged a maximum of MVR 400 for the upcoming Ramadan electricity bill. If the bill exceeds MVR 400, the increase is the discount, he said.
