The Maldives National Defence Force MNDF says they have not found the foreigner who went missing from a supply boat that capsized yesterday off Kaafu Vaadhoo.

The man is one of two crew members who went missing when their boat, named 'Balma-6', capsized off Kaafu Vaadhoo around 7:00 in the morning. The other missing man, a local who was also the captain of the boat, was found dead in the waters near the area where the incident happened.

The deceased man has been identified as 60-year-old Ali Hussain of Baa Atoll Hithaadho.

Today, MNDF said that they are continuing to search for the missing crew member. They stated that the second squadron of the Male' area command and a team of Coast Guard divers are operating in the area along with the Police.

MNDF said that the capsized boat and its cargo are floating in the area and warned those using the area to remain cautious of the floating materials.
