The Housing Ministry says they have received more than 500 submissions for the new housing scheme within 24 hours after the application for the scheme opened.
Under the new scheme, thousands of flats and land plots are up for grabs. This includes 15,000 land plots from the Greater Male' area and Rasmale'.
The scheme also includes 7,900 flats from the Greater Male' area. The application for the new scheme opened yesterday.
Updating the public on the application, the Ministry said that within the first 24 hours, 399 individuals have applied for the flats, while another 119 applied for the land plots.
The Ministry also noted that more than 3,800 applications were current in the draft stage.
It said that flat applicants can submit their application form via the portal from today till the 17th of April. It also said that applicants have till 4th March to apply for land plots.
The Housing Ministry said the application will be submitted through e-pass login. The e-pass account must be a verified account to apply for the schemes.
The Housing Ministry said that those who are not employed can also submit applications. If the person is not employed but is earning any income, they can submit a document proving that.
