The Maldives National Defence Force has confirmed a fire at a cafe in Hulhumale' Phase 1.
MNDF said that a fire broke out at the 'Brunch House' cafe in Phase 1 and that firefighters from Hulhumale' fire station extinguished the fire.
It also said that they received the report of the fire nearly an hour after midnight and that firefighters acted quickly to control the fire.
MNDF stated that the fire was extinguished around 01:19 in the morning.
It added that no one was injured in the fire but refrained from stating what caused the fire in the first place.
Fire incidents in buildings and other properties have increased recently. Such incidents have caused property damage and sometimes loss of life.
