Police have said that 10 premises in Addu City have been searched as part of the nationwide anti-narcotics operation 'Operation Ali Magu'.
In a statement, the Police said that these premises were searched under court orders and that 10 suspects have been arrested from Addu City.
Police said that 6 out of the 10 suspects have been taken to the court for their remand hearings and that one of the suspects was produced before the court today.
They said that the Court had given a remand of 5 days to Hassan Nafeez from Seenu Hithadhoo.
The Police kicked off 'Operation Ali Magu' to neutralize drug networks smuggling and peddling drugs in different parts of the country after a directive from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Last week, the Police announced that they had arrested several leaders of one of the biggest drug network operating in Addu City.
