Police have arrested four individuals who have been accused of engaging in prostitution in a salon in Male' City.
The suspects include a local man and three women from Thailand.
Police have identified the man as 28-year-old Mohamed Samam Rasheed from Gaafu Alifu Villingilli
They said that Samaam has been remanded in Police custody for 5 days, while two of the Thai women had been remanded for 3 days. The remaining Thai woman has been remanded for 30 days.
They further said that the four were arrested in an operation the Police conducted on the 17th of this month after a tip-off about a prostitution ring in Male.
Police are further investigating the case.
